The Colony, Texas neighborhood guide
The Tribute
The Tribute follows the Lake Lewisville shore in The Colony, where the water and open sky are part of the setting. It is also a collection of named residential villages. I start with the village and the actual parcel, because a lakeside community name cannot tell you whether a particular home has a view, access or a shoreline responsibility.
The setting
The resident association describes a pool, splash park and fishing inlet; community materials also describe trails and outdoor gathering places. The City of The Colony separates The Tribute from Tribute West, now called Waterford Point, in its development rules. The recorded section and current association documents establish which plan applies to a home.
The homes
Compare the route to a home, its lot and its relationship to neighboring properties before comparing the floor plan. Residential villages and property types differ. I consider each home’s design, updates and condition with the closest relevant alternatives in its own section.
What to verify
The nearby golf courses and marina can shape the experience of the area, but their access and fees are separate questions. Confirm any club, marina or shoreline rights with the operator and recorded property documents. A view of the lake is not the same thing as a right to use it.
